After a long wait, it was finally time to invite people back to The Big Apple. (This was the last project I touched during my time at Campbell Ewald. Glad I got to be part of it. Ale Ortiz, Kelley Samanka, Mike Calderwood and Jerry Levenson brought it home, with the help of Robotic Raptor and Uppercut.)

CHALLENGE: Pre-pandemic times, no one needed to be convinced to visit NYC for a vacation. But the state is huge. How could New York State attract visitors to regions far away from New York City?

SOLUTION: Shine a light on the unique places across the state, showing how much cool stuff is actually there, and how you can’t find it anywhere else. Between 2016-2019, our efforts to led to an 30% increase in economic development for the state through tourism.

The New York State Fair is loads of fun, but hard to shoot since it’s different every year and you can’t do it in advance because it doesn’t exist yet. That’s when animation comes in handy.

Plus, it helps “live cow births” be more visually palatable.
